Hosting
This website is served as a static site from within the European Union. On each request the host processes technically necessary access data such as IP address, timestamp, and the file requested. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact form
If you use the form on the contact page, we process your name, email address, optionally your company, and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Submissions run through a server function at Netlify Inc., USA, and are then delivered by email to our mailbox. We delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
Appointment booking
To offer appointments we read free times from our Google Calendar. When you book, we create an entry there with a video link and invite you to it. Your name, email address, and what you tell us about your enquiry are transmitted to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA). The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
If you would rather avoid that: a call (the number is in the imprint) or an email gets you the same appointment with no data going to Google.
Analytics with Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to see which pages get opened. The only legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
Until you consent, no script from Google is loaded and no request goes to Google, so your IP address is not transmitted either. The measurement code is fetched only once you agree in the notice at the bottom of the page.
After you consent, Google Analytics sets cookies and processes the pages you open, how long you stay, the page you came from, and details about your browser, device, and approximate location. Your IP address is transmitted to Google and used there to derive that location, but according to Google it is not stored in the reports. The evaluation is pseudonymous and we draw no conclusions about individual people from it.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, through the "Cookies" link in the footer of every page. On withdrawal we delete the cookies Google Analytics set in your browser.
Cookies and consent
Without your consent the only thing we store is your decision itself: an entry named "le-consent" in your browser's local storage, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. It holds nothing but the value "granted" or "denied", is strictly necessary under § 25(2) TDDDG, and is never transmitted to us.
Everything else, the Google Analytics cookies in particular, happens only after you agree. Declining is exactly as easy as agreeing and carries no disadvantage for you.
Transfers to third countries
Netlify Inc. and Google LLC are based in the United States. Data may be transferred there when you book an appointment and, if you have consented, for analytics. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, on standard contractual clauses under Article 46 GDPR.
Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Contact us at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you consented to analytics, you may withdraw that consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then.
